April Parker Jones is one of the minor actors of Devious Maids, portraying the role of Detective Shaw.
Biography[]
Parker was born in Durham, North Carolina and attended North Carolina Central University before moving to New York. She was cast in many productions at The Billie Holiday Theatre. Parker Jones received two Audelco Award Theatre nominations for Best Actress for the production Plenty of Time. Upon her arrival to Los Angeles, she was cast in stage productions of A New Beginning and A Yankee Trader.
After guest-starring role on CSI: Miami, in 2006 she has won the series regular role of Darcy Hawkins in the CBS series Jericho. The series was canceled after two seasons, and Parker Jones later appeared on Lost, The Unit, NCIS, Scandal, and also had a recurring roles in 90210 and The Fosters. She also appeared in Spider-Man 3.
In 2014, Parker Jones was cast as one of leads in the Oprah Winfrey Network prime time soap opera, If Loving You Is Wrong. In 2015, she also had the recurring role as detective Claire Bryce in the Shondaland's How to Get Away with Murder. In 2016, she has been cast on Devious Maids.
